My reflections

Learnings

Throughout this module, I have learned yet another new skill to use the Adobe Animate software, which I initially didn't consider to have the ability to make an HTML web-based animation that can be interactive until this module came in. The proposing, planning and finally executing of the interactive web design is an eye-opener for me. There are moments when I need to learn some of the features and procedures for me to achieve certain effects and results I want in the end through the Internet. At the same time, this module helps to introduce the importance of an interactive website that can communicate effectively with the people with the contents.

Observations

With a series of debugging the codes for an intended web flow and optimised browsing experience, I noticed that there are a lot of small details and procedures in Adobe Animate that cannot be overlooked to acquire the desired results, such as the need to account for the slightly delayed backend javascript loading that can mess up the flow of the web where I need to extend the timeline further for the web to register the user interactions properly, the limitations of the audio options provided in Adobe Animate and much more.

Findings

This module is one hell of an experience for me, especially during the final project where I need to put the general things I've learned during class to practical use. However, the problems that arose during the project period definitely forced me to learn and improve myself to deliver a more prominent outcome little by little. While interacting with the professional website designs, they made me contemplate the long journey I need to undergo to reach the same level as the commercial designers.
